I've been waiting on two bedroom suites totaling ~$10k that are being shipped through AC Delivers. Over the last month, I've repeatedly tried to contact them with very limited (and recently no) success. By any chance is anyone else here in the same situation? I'm really getting worried.

I had never heard of them, but I Googled them and saw some good and bad info about them. Some customers that either didn't get their stuff, or it arrived damaged - with little satisfaction. Check out these links http://www.measuredup.com/company/A-C-Delivers-1786/Reviews http://acdelivers.blogspot.com/ You may want to contact the better business bureau of the town or attorney general of the state they are from if you can't get satisfaction from them. Not a company I'd ever use after reading their reviews. Good luck - let us know how it turns out.

I have filed a complaint with the State of Maine Attorney General's office. My problem was that I cancelled the delivery of my sofa and AC Delivers never refunded my money as promised.
Your complaint is similar to others of not receiving their furniture. When I spoke to one of representatives from the Attorney General's office I told him a lot of people felt this company was running a scam operation.
AC Delivers has a "F" rating with the Maine BBB and Angie's List which is a nationwide consumer group who will not even list this company because of questionable business practices. My regret is that I did not research this company before paying upfront for their service.
The telephone number for the Maine Attorney General Consumer Information & Mediation Service is 207-626-8849. You need to call between 9 am and 12 pm.
You can also go on line and download their complaint form. You must fill out this form in order for them to help you solve your issue with the company.
I am still waiting for an answer from the Attorney General's office.
Good luck!

I have had 4 items from the East Coast delivered by AC Delivers and have been very happy with their service. I live on the West Coast and had to wait several months for the delivery, but the items arrived safely. One delivery was an antique sofa - they crated it to insure its safety. Antique dealers have recommended AC Delivers to me and they have accounts with them. Connie

hello- have used ac delivers (1) time, purchasing an antique table (pic) in Maine and having the item shipped to California. it was two months and alot of excuses before i finally received. it seemed like i called every other day for two weeks before i was able to get a bonafide arrival date. although it did arrive safely i would not use this service again nor would i recommend it to anyone else. stever

thanks.
i saw this table 25 years ago in an antiques store on the central california coast, but was too late as it was already sold. i took pictures and was determined to find another. it took a long time but the plan finally came to fruition. yes, the claw feet are wonderful and also somewhat abnormal for the Renaissance revival furniture i am used to seeing. i would think the feet would help with identifying the maker, but have been unable to locate any information. i have come across (1) oval table with the same feet(am trying to find it's picture and i will post) and also this fabulous revival bed which appears to have the same claw feet too (see below). am guessing someday the information will appear. interestingly enough, since i purchased this table i have run across it two other times, but in different sizes. clars auction in oakland, california had one which was at least three times longer and the hillsborough antique show in san mateo had one which was approx 1 foot longer. this should indicate a catalogue piece. so where is the catalogue?

hello again-
finally found the oval marble table with claw feet. ( i think my picture files are becoming too big!) it appears it is the same manufacturer of the library table pictured above.
i would love to own this table too if someone knows of another. i have seen it twice, but both times it was unavailable for purchase. stever

stever- You must have made a wish or something because it was granted. The table that you wanted to get is coming up for sale at Fontaine's, Feb. 7th, lot 80: There are some differences but it is largely the same table. The gadrooning around the table top isn't there and this table has some gilt-incising, which I kinda prefer: http://www.fontainesauction.net/cgi/viewlot.php?sale=90207&lot=80

The Dept of >:(888-368-7238) of Transportation REVOKED AC Antiques Interstate Commerce license as of 23 Feb 09. AC Delivers license numbers: USDOT 987508 AND Moving Company (MC) number 452159 I filed a complaint also with the Maine Attorney General. He is completely WORTHLESS. They send a certified letter (not signed for) and a few non returned regular emails and letters and GAVE UP. Also, the Attorney General Maine REFUSES to SHARE the names of others who filed complaints. EMAIL ME at [email protected]. I too have NOT had my items delivered and I have a lot of information on AC Delivers on what to do. LET US GET TOGETHER. REMEMBER: If you stuff is sitting in a warehouse - that WAREHOUSE manager can sell it (once getting a court order) IF YOU DO NOT HURRY.

I attempted to ship a piece from Maine to North Carolina with AC Delivers last year. Paid the shipping fee in advance and contacted the shipper repeatedly about picking up the item from the auction where it was purchased. After nearly 3 months and a series of lame excuses on the equivalent of "the dog ate my homework", they still had not picked up the item from the auction house. Eventually I canceled the contract and the same day found another shipper who crated the item and delivered it to me a mere 3 days later for significantly less money than my contract with AC Delivers. Needless to say I quit recommending them to my customers at that point.

I have been using uship.com for a couple years now and have had no issues. It's mostly small operators but the nice thing about them is, the shipper does not get paid until the item arrives at its destination.
