Some new items that I have lucked into. Seems I can go for ever and find nothing of interest then boom out of the blue I see things everywhere I look. Below a Bradley/Hubbard fern stand, which I have cleaned the brass and painted. There was none of the original finish left after stripping the ORANGE paint.  A Bradley/Hubbard candle sconce picked up for 45 dollars and last a neat R.R. stand, not a rare find but a find.

What part of the country do you live in and
what did you have to pay? I live in California, about
the center of the state, and I have noticed that Victorian
furniture as a whole is really down. I bought a wonderful
Eastlake parlor table recently for $250.00 which in years
past couldn't be found for less then 800-1200.00.
Yes, it was a buy, but it really seems that furniture
right now is taking a beating.

Hi Everyone: I would agree with that, and extend the drop-off in prices to much of Victoriana in general - Currier and Ives, lighting, etc.  Here is an example - this is an oil lamp recently listed on Ebay that recently sold for about $500:

The listing includes a photo of the Ebay selling price in 2003 - over $3,500.  I think that after 10+ years of Ebay / LiveAuctioneers, most seasoned collectors have now filled up their houses and unfortunately it seems new demand is not coming into the market.
