House of Representatives - bookcase?

Unless something has changed, I believe that Rare has a special place in his heart for House of Representatives chairs & desks. Here is an interesting attribution for a little bookcase. I have not come across a bookcase with this sort of attribution before. Not a particularly high auction estimate on this piece either.

Looking for bargains, 1860s-1890s, particularly "Aesthetic Movement". I need a bookcase!

Nice find. Shhhhh. I need another bookcase.... Comparing from memory, the shield looks like a ringer for the chair's.
In actuality, the depth of these old bookcases is impractical for the books that many of us have today.

Did I mention that I have been the under-bidder on no fewer than 4 really nice bookcases in the last 6 months? I still need a bookcase. This particular House of Representatives bookcase ain't what I need though. That having been said, I bet that this little bookcase would look good
somewhere
your home.
