Here's a pretty nice auction in Poughkeepsie NY tomorrow (Sat 6/20) Great American Auction - A fair amount of nicer Victorian furniture, lighting, art, accessories & little stained glass. Nice Dining set claimed as Herter, Bed & Dresser, Berkey & Gay marble top, Belter sofa, Wooten, Fainting sofa, Signed Herter cabinet, etc.  http://tinyurl.com/mfny49

The Jelliff chair on page two is identical to the J.W. Hamburger chair from the catalog.   Blog post coming ....

I recognize two of these lots from eBay: 844, a "Victorian Herter style" two piece bedroom suite is eBay item number 390050719599 listed by fromeuropetoyou for 6500 obo and 104, "19th C. Berkey & Gay" table was eBay item number item number 200340331707 listed by greatamericanauctionservice at $2000.  fromeuropetoyou is located in Saugerties, NY and Poughkeepsie isn't that far away.  I'd be willing to bet that many other items in this auction are theirs as well.  It would be interesting to see how these two lots fare.  I tend to think you pay more at a brick and mortar auction house than on eBay but I don't have concrete evidence.
