John Jelliff Chair?
« on: August 12, 2012, 12:23:04 PM »

Have a chair from my mother's family.  It is heavily carved with a woman's head on the crest and arms.  Finish is original and in excellent condition.  Fabric is needle point, very old but not original. It is in relatively good condition considering its age.  Would appreciate help in identifying Jelliff or not.  What might be the worth of the chair and how would I go about selling it if I choose to do so?  I am a newbie and appreciate any help you can provide.  (Will attach pics).  Thanks.

"Attributed to John Jelliff" might be a fair way of putting it.

Don't know the worth....$500-$700 or so. Definitely northeast U.S.

Beautiful!!
