Thought I'd post a picture of a mirror that was handed down in my family but over the years had sustained damage. I sent it into have repaired (to Rose Valley) and John recreated a section of fruit and foliage to fit into the overall theme and painted it to match. The bottom 1/2 was missing from the section shown in the photo with the red arrow. You would never be able to tell that it had been repaired.
Did you take any "before restored" pictures? I know it's a hassel and an easy step to bypass, but it helps to tell the whole story. It shows the extent of damage, and the dramatic difference the restoration made. It's an important part of any restoration. woodwright
Did not think to do that at the time - it was pre-Rare Victorian so I had no thought to take one for posterity.
