I've changed my profile image to be a picture of a relative from the 19th century - I believe a great-great.... grandfather. I kinda like the tradition that 1881 and Michadi started with using early photos of people important to them for their profile pic in the forum. Anyway, the only reason I point this out is that I wanted to post the full picture due to the chair that he is sitting in. Gotta be the biggest Aesthetic/Eastlake chair I've ever seen.

I have tons of these 19th century images from my family. In rearranging a bedroom I had to pull a box of photos from under the bed and caught myself sifting through them all. I could probably create a whole other board for us all to post our 19th century images.
As I was posting the image of my Great-Great Grandfather, the thought occurred to me that as he posed for that photograph, he would have had no possible way of imagining how it would be used 140 years after it was taken...

It would be a fun new thread...I have many as well...some of the people in my family are kinda harsh looking...scares me a bit...but the chairs are awesome!
