A great collection and auction. Wouldn't it be nice to have the budget to match our taste in furniture and buy whatever strikes your fancy! We'd all have great collections.  woodwright
I will try to go to this one--only a couple hours drive from my house--Charles
I might attend this one - hard to miss even though it is 6.5 hours away.
Full catalog up now, this may be the auction of the year!

Rare, there are some nice bedroom suites in this one!
Looks like a lot of the stuff in this auction is refinished - not my cup of tea. The meeks set is also repaired and one side chair is not in the best of shape.
The belter rosalie w/grapes sidechair has not been refinished, but there is only one.

Hello,

Lot 348 both are in very nice condition.
Lot 501 is in very nice condition
Lot 585 is in very nice condition
Lot 664 has some light scratches
Lot 677 both are in very nice condition.
All of these pieces except for the side chair have been refinished and the cabinets have had a magnetic catch put on the door.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Have a great day,
Chris Davis

Thanks for that good information on the various lots antiquemiser--I am trying to get to this auction in person..Charles.
Well, made it to this auction...I have NEVER in my life seen the amount of cranberry glassware, all the way to the many chandeliers for sale that came out of this estate--no kidding, it must have weighed literally a ton!  As per a previous post, most of the victorian furniture appeared to have been stripped and refinished.  Not really what I like...Many of the marble top items appeared to have had their original marble tops replaced with newer tops and in one case, I believe the marble top had been replaced with what appeared to be onyx.  Again, not my thing.  The Meeks parlor set went for $22,000 with premium (sofa with support on the back of the crest, various repairs to legs on sofa and chairs---1 armchair, 2 sides-all with sun bleached backs).  Wound up buying some porcelain instead of furniture---hats off the to owners and employees of Northgate Auction..some of the nicest people in the auction business I have ever met!  Charles.
