Is anyone else having difficulties accessing rarevictorian.com (the main blog site) since the server change noted elsewhere? :(

The site is back... try entering through the link at the top of the forum, rather than a saved bookmark. (Not sure why it makes a difference, but that is how it is working on my end.
actually, i was typing in addy, then trying to access thru google, as john changed servers, it probably just took a lil time to have his addy all over web, its all better now
i just tried to post a comment on main blog, no go, so theres still some issues. hosters are a drag, having changed several over the years, its ALWAYS a lil painful
Got your comment, but it landed in the approval queue.  There is a piece of software that reads each comment and decides if it looks like spam and either puts it directly into the spam queue or puts it in an approval queue if it looks borderline.

I think it didn't like your "HEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY" in the comment.  It will also hold comments with more than 2 links in them since spammers like to use that tactic.

Don't let it curb your commenting creativity, please, but sometimes there just may be a human involved to approve your comments on the main blog - me - which generally I can do within a few hours unless I'm traveling.

The server problem ended up being a difference in how my new server provider handles home pages.  What you may not have known is that the whole site worked - but not the home page.  Lot's of traffic was coming from Google direct to deep links, but the home page was hosed.

My planning had the downtime probably limited to a few hours or less, like this forum had.  The home page thingy that created the looping was something specific to this vendor and it was down for 48 hours as they told me to be patient for the cutover of the DNS.  In actuality it would have been up on Sunday had they bothered to look at what they found yesterday rather than tell me "be patient".  Now I know...
Welcome back RV. I couldn't get you for 2+ days and missed checking in. All seems fine now - good luck w/ the new server. Long live RV!!
John, I am glad RV is back!  Was really getting worried there for a while! ;D
I've moved 8 blogs to this server provider and it figures - just my luck - that my most important one is the only one that has problems ...
LOL John, i feel your pain. Everything seems ok today on this end.
