These guys are super loose with thier descriptions and attributions. Walnut isn't Rosewood, and it surely isn't Meek's either. I've seen other listings by the same seller that are just as bad.…

Fortunately anyone buying Meeks or Belter by name would know anyway, but looks a bit fast and loose on that.

I don't get the whole "Belter Era" or "Hunzinger Era".  Using "era" is a new twist on delivering attributions for me.  Don't they realize that era means time and not style?
I think that this couch is from the same maker as my black parlor set...same rose & leaf details...same pierced carving efforts too.

I don't mean to come across as somebody who calls every triple-back settee a "Galusha", but this looks like yet another "lower-end" Galusha settee in walnut.

As an aside, I tend to think that everything in this seller's inventory is over-priced, but that is just my all-too-humble opinion.

From the same seller, I was taken by this description: "1900-10 FAINTING SOFA COUCH DAYBED PARLOR CHAISE BED
4 POSTER FLUTED SOLID MAHOGANY PINECONE TOPS RECOVERED."

Presumably it was only space limitations that prevented it from being tagged as ""1900-10 FAINTING SOFA COUCH DAYBED PARLOR CHAISE LONGUE LOUNGE BED 4 POSTER MERIDIENNE RECAMIER LIT DU JOUR LIT DE REPOSE CHINESE OPIUM BED CAMPAIGN BED HALF-TEESTER BED LINCOLN BEDROOM BED FLUTED SOLID MAHOGANY PINECONE TOPS RECOVERED."

I guess "Twin bed with cushions" wants beefing up with keywords.
