Yeah, it's been hanging around on Ebay for quite a while. I wrote it up on RV a while back.
I'm wondering why they don't just send it to a high-end auctioneer. Probably because they won't get a fraction of the price they are asking.

yeah, i remember that post. These guys have been trying to sell it on Ebay all this time? I would argue that actually will de-value the suite as "fresh to market" offers much more appeal than something thats been kicked around the market forever.

Indeed. The "marketing" of this extraordinary suite of furniture seems to be a textbook example of how not to sell a high-end object.
BTW, the H.A.W./"Baby Doe" Tabor provenance is golden, IMO, since an photograph actually exists showing both bed and dresser in situ (the Tabor's Denver house), in period (c. 1885).* 'Tis not often that happens!
* In William Seale's The Tasteful Interlude, the "Revised and Enlarged" second edition... the photo does not appear in the 1st edition.
