Madison/ Bouckville Antique Show (Right on Rt. 20 - both sides) in Bouckville NY
( http://www.bouckvilleantiqueshows.com/html/main.html ) is coming up Mon. Aug 11th. - Sun 17th. It's been going on for about 40 yrs. and has grown to what is probably New York States largest (indoor or outdoor) show.
The advertised/ promoted show is Sat & Sun 8/16 & 17 +/- 1,000 Dealers (Fri 8/15 is early buyers day while the dealers set up). Many people are not aware that another +/- 1,000 dealers set up the Monday (8/11) & Tues. (8/12) before the organized weekend show all along Rt. 20 (all free to see -no charge - other than parking, and there is some, but not much free parking). Then an additional +/- 1,000 Dealers come in for the promoted weekend show (about 2,000 dealers total for 8/16 & 17). Mega worth going to, it's our favorite show of the year hands down, bar none - we've been going for 20 years. For us it's about a 2 hr. drive. We generally go 2 days - first on Tues or Wed (it depends on weather and our schedule) to see the free show along 1/2 - 1 mile of Rt 20 - many, many deep fields worth of vendors (at least 1000 vendors - maybe more - I can't grasp large quantities well). Then we go back again on Sat or Sun for the organized show - $6 admission (again depends on weather & our schedule). You can't see everything in a day - no matter how hard you look. Absolutely everything from crap to world class stuff there and everything in between - this show is a must see if you can make it. If not this year, it goes on the 3rd weekend in August (and the week before) every year.
Hotel & B&B rooms in the area fill up fast - if you're planning to stay in the area for it, book NOW (many are booked a year in advance). Similar (but different) to the Brimfield Ma. show - no staggered openings and closings of fields - it's all open all week.

Question posted By Rare V. on the other thread I started talking about it  on : "Woodwright, are all the dealers generally all there for the Friday preview, or are some of them still setting up for Saturday/Sunday?"
A. - I've never been there for Fri. early buyers day - the vendors all set up on Fri. and the crowds are smaller (but still a decent turnout from talking to vendors) - Fri. is the serious buyers that want to beat the crowd for first dibs ($40 ea, or $75/ couple for Fri.) - but dealers are unpacking all day - so you may not get to see everything - unless you come back around again on Sat.   woodwright
