So I have this beautiful split pedestal dining room table that is missing all of the original locking hardware for when it closed. Today as I was (not so appropriately) killing time at work I stumbled across a photo at Bargain John's that has a picture of the type of lock I have. I was so excited!
See pic attached below from Bargain John's website. I am a stickler for original so I'd love to get a lock to put back on my table. I have the vertical bars (threaded on the top end) that you can just make out on the inside of the table leg on the right. I do not have whatever hooks to those threads, whatever makes the 90 deg turn (hidden under the table top in this photo), nor the bars with the wheels on the end. I do have the clips that the wheel bars would snap onto, though.
I would be super excited if anyone knew where I might be able to find such parts or had a picture of the part that's not shown here (from under the table) so I at least didn't look so stupid asking my local shops if they have anything that looks like it.
Thanks for any info.
Keith

Hey Keith,
The ones I have seen have a lever affair that pulls the table closed shut. Tables by hastings company had such a device. See these links for some examples:

Finding original hardware for this would be almost impossible but you could perhaps rig something up to work. Does the table stay shut OK? A simple hook and eye works to keep everything tight if you want to try that approach.
Good luck!
