Hello to all! We have just bought another eastlake parlor set and what makes it interesting is the design. Our fireplace in that room has the same design with seven fo these stylized leaves or trees and I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this motif.

OK...I'm feeling smart now. I believe that you have a Greek motif called an "Anthemion". I figured that your motif looked to me a lot like a palm leaf...and, it does!

Thanks Jason! :) I had no idea and even thought it may have been a little of the craftsman influence on victorian peices. Oh yeah! Christie will love the Bradbury papers! ::)
