One of the first pieces that I bought while still in my ca. 1999 house in anticipation of the 1887 house was the below pictured sofa. It was an import from France, from a shop in Maryland that does the container-from-Europe thing. It's a fun store to visit if you're ever in St. Michaels, MD and their site doesn't do justice to their shop.
Anyway, this is one of my first Victorian buys and it is still one of my favorite Rococo sofa forms that the regular guy can afford at the $1,200 that I paid for it.
