came across this great pic of an auction house
showing--guessing 50-60's? this picture was offered
in an ebay auction several years back.
i sure would have enjoyed being there.

Great Bed! My guess is Herter Bros. Looks like the seat at the foot of the bed is built in - But the details are different so it makes me wonder if it is part of it, or just a good fit. Wonder where it is now?

Fantastic bed but I can't tell where the bed stops and the sofa starts.....

assuming the woman is of average heighth---say 5' x 6",
then the bed surely is 10' tall. as for the built in seat,
i thought it was two pieces at first but it certainly appears
to be one. the "material" also matches the bed rail
"cushion". the figured columns in the center area of the
headboard reminded me of the bed below, but i have
concluded they are different. both pieces though would
be worthy of any rare victorian collector!
