Does anyone have access to a Mitchell and Rammeslberg catalog?  I know that the company only operated under this name until 1881.  I live in a family home that was built in 1826.  I found this piece in our original outdoor kitchen and fell in love with it.  I had it cleaned up and just moved it into my diningroom last week.  I am assuming that it was a wash stand before.  The wood is very dark.  It looks to be some type of ebony.

I like to keep records with my antiques and would love more information.

Any help is appreciated.

Is it labeled/stenciled with the M&R name?
Yes, you can see the stencil on the back.
It seems to me, then, that you have already identified it  8)

What is it you are trying to learn beyond the maker identification?
I would like to find out exactly how it was listed in the catalog.  What it was called. Options for wood. Original price.
