Grand View auction in Roanoke, Ala. will be having an auction on March 1, 2008 at lpm central time. No pics or catalog up yet :(, but should be soon. This auction generally has very nice high quality victorian furniture, porcelains, paintings, lamps, etc. Worth checking on every couple of days to see the offerings when they put them up. Charles.

Thanks Charles. Will stand by.
They have begun to put up a few pics but no descriptions yet--today. These I suspect are only a fraction of the pics of all the items they have--they are generally slow to get pics and descriptions up, but I am sure that they will be up soon....will keep checking back on them. Charles
Was at Grandview Auction today for about the first 4 hours. About 50 people in attendance with a lot of internet and absentee bidding going on. Have been going to this auction for a couple of years now, and it just seemed that the prices were off some today compared to the past....I know that the big houses like Neal's continue to set records, but just wondering if you guys are seeing the second level down, like Grandview beginning to slip a bit on prices paid :-\.....Charles
The named items (Hunzinger, RJ Horner, etc.) seem to be doing fine (or great), while the no-names pieces are treading water unless they are over-the-top in design. The "Hunzinger" (not so sure he actually did that one) shaving stand hit $3,700.
I would concur with your assesment Rare! Charles.
