This sofa was purchased a year ago from Savanah Georgia. It came out of a plantation home
not far from there. The photo's are not the greatest as they were taken with my phone camera.
The sofa when I bought it was covered in a red velvet which was not in that great of shape so
I had it reupholstered in a gold mohair velvet. I believe it's from the mid 1800's just not sure who
could have been the cabinet maker. I have included some photo's any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Michael

Hey Mr. Michael,
Nice sofa but who made it is a problem. This type of sofa was very popular before 1870 and was made pretty much all over the united states back then by many makers. Yours is a nice one with good detail, perhaps just enjoy its beauty and forget the rather daunting task as to who made it. It just happens to be very lovely!
