I am thinking 1920's for this closet we hauled out of the attic. It was heavy and barely squeezed through the attic stairway. Husband says old, wife says not old enough. Who will take my side?

I would say that 1920s is about right.
Quartersawn Oak dates the piece to that relative time period. Although QS Oak has been available since then, they wouldn't generally bother for a simple piece like that.
So far, wife wins...three to one. THX
This would make an awful fine addition to my back porch closet or garage...keep shovels & the like in it. Another vote here for 1920 or so.

Ha, Ha Jason. It isn't in garage condition yet. No closets in house so will probably function as clothes storage in one of the rooms, or shelve out for linens...you are so mean! Are you sure you aren't REALLY siding with the husband? Thanks for the fun.
