I was browsing sold items on Live Auctioneers and ran across these 2 side chairs ( Link: http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/511450 ; ) both sold together at Dargate Auctions in 10/04. They are very similar to each other, but also many differences in the details. Any thoughts…
I was browsing sold items on Live Auctioneers and ran across these 2 side chairs ( Link: http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/511450 ; ) both sold together at Dargate Auctions in 10/04. They are very similar to each other, but also many differences in the details. Any thoughts on whether they were made by the same maker (just different versions), or 2 different makers copying each other? They look like they are solid - not laminated (laminated work is generally thinner). Listing didn't say whether they are Walnut, or Rosewood - hard to tell from the pic. Any thoughts?
Tough to say. There are enough little differences to may you scratch your head, but it is 95% the same.
