Can anyone tell me anything about this rocking chair? It's been in my family for approximately 100 years. I apologize for my poor photos: back has carved roaring, winged griffins. Original finish and in excellent condition. Thank you.

yes, absolutely.

This was made by the Stickley-Brandt Furniture Co. around 1902.  It is model #586 and had matching chair and settee.  You have the more expensive mahogany version and it was also made in Oak ($17.75 and $14.00, respectively back then).
Thank you.  Does it have any value as an antique?
Rockers aren't usually on the top of everyone's list, so that affects it some.  Hard to say what price range without inspecting it live.  Could be $400-$800.
Thank you for your reply!
