OK rare, its official, MAD posted your reply, read it this morning.snooty dealers huh, hmmmmm, thats odd considering the state of the market in antique furniture. most of the dealers i come across are tripping over themselves to make a sale, price breaks, financing, whatever it takes kinda thing. course, i did just turn 60 in oct however, a VERY YOUNG 60!!!lol
It depends on the dealer and venue whether there is a snooty factor. If I'm at a Renningers-type antique mall, it's not a factor. If I go to a higher-end show or upscale shop - different story.
