I have a set of 4 unique hand-carved oak chairs that I'm shopping around. They originally belonged to a wealthy estate in Virginia. From what I've been able to gather they are late Victorian era American Renaissance Revival. The carvings look like cherub heads, and the tapestry is of a regal-looking couple on horseback in a forest. I've spent hours online looking at images of Victorian chairs and cannot find anything similar. My question is what would be an acceptable asking price if selling these to a dealer, and how much would they go for when resold. Also if anyone can tell me more about these chairs I would really appreciate it. Email [email removed] for more pictures. Thanks!
