This is presently on ebay and is unusual in it's form - I'm not sure I've ever seen one like it. It looks original, unaltered. It looks a lot like a vanity or dressing table, but the center mirror looks like a pier mirror and goes all the way to the floor - w. no center…
This is presently on ebay and is unusual in it's form - I'm not sure I've ever seen one like it. It looks original, unaltered. It looks a lot like a vanity or dressing table, but the center mirror looks like a pier mirror and goes all the way to the floor - w. no center drawer or top. IIRC, this is a "dressing mirror" - not common, but not unique, either. An example of the form in the Aesthetic taste is part of the Worsham-Rockefeller dressing room recently deaccessioned by the Museum of the City of New York and donated to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
